Some of my favourite posts from this week included Appletaile’s thoughts and experiences on worrying about weight, Elly’s first ever weekly wrap up (woo! You’ve joined the club!), Camila’s nomination post for the Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award, Nichola’s post where she talked about sunsets in the UK compared to Singapore, Emily’s blog-o-versary post and Hermionefowl’s review of The Bookshop Book by Jen Campbell.

Most of my week has been preoccupied with maths revision for a test tomorrow and rehearsals for my school’s production of six of Grimm’s Fairy Tales, using the Carol Ann Duffy adaptation. It finished its two-night run last night, and I had such a great experience doing sound on the technical desk. Plus, of course, the added bonus of the headmaster giving the tech desk ice cream at the interval for both shows! The rest of the cast and crew were seriously annoyed…

How has your week been?

100 Days of Happiness {day 26} ~ Time You Enjoy Wasting Is Not Wasted

Today was my first weekend of year 10! Luckily, because we had only been back for three days, I didn’t have any homework.  *jumps for joy*
This meant plenty of time…for reading! I got through two books, one by Ally Carter and the other Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban – HP is always worth a reread!
It felt brilliant to have no jobs,  no homework and just to be able to do whatever.  Yes, I know I’ve just had eight weeks of that, but it feels so much better when you remember what school feels like! In the evening my sister and I had free rein of the tv: cue X Factor! Watched Through the Keyhole for the first time too…it just seems a bit random?!?
What’s your favourite winding-down activity?

100 Days of Happiness {day 25} ~ Harry Potter and Friyay!

Helloooo weekend! A lot of good things happened to me today…first of all I had my first ever double music GCSE class, and my first ever Combined Cadet Force session at school (on Friday afternoons, we have to do either CCF or Duke of Edinburgh), both of which I was pretty terrified about, but both of which turned out OK. I got my CCF kit, and when my parents got home they went all proud-parenty taking photos 🙂 I also learnt at ease, attention, (both of which I already knew from scouts), about turn and marching. Call me a marine!
Also, obviously it was Friday.  I had my favourite tea ever, the previously featured spinach and cheese penne, and am now comfort reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Just because I can!

What was the last book you re-read?
