Tracklisting Tuesday: Fangirling Over Kygo

Tracklisting

Kygo is a 23 year old Norwegian music producer who’s just starting to get big – you may have heard his collaboration ‘Firestone’ with Conrad Sewell in the Top 40, or seen ‘Stole The Show’ feat Parson James on Spotify.

My friend and I are both obsessed with him, and feel a certain kind of pride that we liked his music before he started to go ‘mainstream’. I originally heard his remix of Seinabo Sey’s Younger (the original of which is now starting to get airplay as well) after I saw Seinabo supporting Ella Eyre on tour, and my friend then introduced me to the rest of them.

Most of his remixes are on YouTube, as very few have actually been released and are therefore on iTunes, Amazon Music or Spotify, although he appears to have used to have free downloads from his Facebook page. Irritatingly, these seem to have disappeared, possibly since he signed to a record label, I think Sony Music?

His most well-known remixes are the aforementioned ‘Younger’ one, and his remix of Ed Sheeran’s ‘I See Fire’. However, the one I’m going to drop down below is my current favourite. It was introduced to me by said friend, and is incredible – I present to you, the Kygo remix of Didrik Thulin’s ‘Dancer’. It is incredible.

Facebook // Instagram // SoundCloud // Website // YouTube (Official Vevo Channel – however, loads of his mixes just turn up in the general search results)

Plus, he has a cool logo. Overall, I’m in love. What do you think? Yay or nay? Tell me down in the comments, or on Twitter @booksteaonesie! Oh, and if you haven’t already, please fill out my reader survey!

To be honest, I don’t really listen to music like this, but I heard Firestone on tv in Hungary a lot. I also listen online to BBC Radio 1 and I heard that song there as well, and I actually enjoy listening to it. It’s definitely a yay from me, because he’s songs are very catchy, Firestone is always playing in my head, I can’t get it out of there, haha 🙂
