We had another hockey match on Thursday. Embarrassingly,we lost 8-0. And they were reportedly told to go easy on us in the second half. In our defence, the team had never played together, the goalie hadn’t played for about a year and at least one of our players had never played 11-a-side hockey before. Still, sigh.
In the evening, we did have a major thunderstorm! It only went on for about half an hour, but my mum said she had never known weather like it where we live. Some roads were closed – on one, there were photos showing water up to car’s tyres. Yep, it was that wet. There were also some seriously impressive flashes of lightning, and some long rumbles of thunder. At one point, I was supposed to be drying my hair and getting on with jobs, but I kept getting distracted by the storm, so mum told me to stop procrastinating. I then apologised, to which she said ‘nah, don’t worry, it’s an exciting thunderstorm!’ 😀
What’s the weather like where you are?
